The Tangible exhibition invites the audience to engage with contemporary art installation practice through an immersive sensory experience.

Visitors will be able to carefully explore the tactile qualities of specific sculptural works by these artists through the sense of touch. This exhibition will include recent works by well-known artists, Sebastian Di Mauro and Carly Scoufos who are both recognised for their diverse use of unconventional materials.

Di Mauro’s use of unconventional materials, including astroturf and neoprene, make us consider the possibilities and sensory pleasure of our daily surrounds. While Scoufos’ weaves rigid, unforgiving materials such as wire to create structures that juxtapose traditional textile techniques such as lacemaking with industrial progress, causing us to reflect on the changing nature of our society.
