QLD POPS Celtic Celebration – “St Patrick meets Robbie Burns”

In the time honoured tradition of “Scotland the Brave”, the Pops returns with its boldest Celtic Celebration ever. Internationally renowned Celtic soprano Kathleen Procter-Moore will headline this most amazing Celtic program, as the Pops launches its 30th Anniversary Subscription Series.

One of the great Irish bands of our day is Queensland based Murphys Pigs. Their traditional music features well known Irish melodies played on authentic Celtic instruments. Without doubt the Queensland Police Pipes and Drums are one of the most valuable Queensland asset’s and they will bring an amazing repertoire of well known and excitingly new Scottish music.

As always, the Watkins Academy of Irish Dance and Thistle Highland Dance Studio, will set the stage on fire with the swirl of their kilts and their high leaping kicks. This concert will deliver all you ever wanted from the Celtic genre and more.

Presented By Patrick Pickett and the Queensland Pops Orchestra
