On Saturday 26 January, kick off the Australia Day celebrations with good Aussie atmosphere and entertainment in Gatton.
From 10am, the festivities heat up at the Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre at Gatton where Lockyer Valley Regional Council pays tribute to individuals and groups who have made significant contributions to their local community and/or achieved exceptional results in sporting, environment or cultural endeavours.
The Awards ceremony is the highlight of Australia Day and they invite all nominees and members of the public to join with them and recognise members of the community that step up and add value to our way of life.
Doors at the Cultural Centre open at 10am with the official program commencing at 10.30am.
Meanwhile, outside in the park there will be market stalls, entertainment, children’s activities and much more to entertain you from 10am to 1pm. Relax to the music of LODI as they revisit the music from the 80s and some great Aussie anthems.
So grab the family, zinc cream and a hat and enjoy the many activities on offer this Australia Day!
