Hundreds of yoga lovers and fitness fanatics will take to the sand this month for the Gold Coast’s Biggest Beach Yoga Class, to raise funds for charity.

Held on Sunday 19 June on the oceanfront amphitheatre of Surfers Paradise beach, the yoga class is expected to attract more than 500 flexible people.

The event will be hosted by Zen Soul Life’s Yogi Madonna Williams and will celebrate World Yoga Day, raising awareness and funds for Bravehearts and Paddle Again Child Abuse (Damien Rider Foundation).

Themed ‘Connect for Compassion – Stretch to Celebrate’, the family-friendly class is a great way for locals and visitors to de-stress, re-energise and reconnect.

The event will run from 8am to 10am, with participants stretching, twisting and turning throughout the morning as they salute the winter sun.

Expect deep stretches like the warrior pose, downward facing dog, butterfly stretch and child’s pose – a great way kick start to the day!

Feel the sand between your toes whilst having a good old stretch on the beach at the Gold Coast’s Biggest Beach Yoga Class, held on Sunday 19 June from 8am to 10am at Surfers Paradise Beach.

Participants are asked to bring a $10 donation.
