Funny woman Amy Schumer has slammed Glamour Magazine for including her in a list of “plus-size” stars.

The magazine included Schumer in its special Chic At Any Size issue, in a segment promoted on its cover called Women who inspire us: Melissa McCarthy, Adele, Amy Schumer and Ashley Graham.

Schumer hit back at the label through her Instagram account, explaining that her inclusion in a list of “plus-size” women sends the wrong message to young girls.

“I think there’s nothing wrong with being plus size. Beautiful healthy women. Plus-size is considered size 16 in American. I go between a size 6 and 8,” she wrote.

“@glamourmag put me in their plus-size only issue without asking or letting me know and it doesn’t feel right to me.

“Young girls seeing my body type thinking that is plus size? What are your thoughts? Mine are not cool glamour not glamourous.”

Schumer followed this up with a bikini-clad video on Instagram accompanied by this message: “Bottom line seems to be that these labels are unnecessary and reserved for women.”

A Glamour spokesperson told ET that the edition “did not describe her as plus-size”, and that they featured her in the article because she sends a positive message about body image.
