Brisbane based clothing label Model Citizen will show their new collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia in May.
After launching in Brisbane in 2014, Model Citizen debuted their first collection at LA Fashion Week 2015 and are currently stocked at high end LA store, RNRP on Melrose Avenue.
Model Citizen’s new collection is an extension of the brand’s design focus on combining functional street wear and modern tailoring with clean lines and minimalist styling.
Model Citizen Creative Director Eeshaal Niranjan, the team is incredibly excited to show at this year’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, Australia’s premiere fashion platform.
“We are showcasing a series of 12 strong looks influenced from creative feedback from our American showrooms. A range of hero pieces focused on creating a modern street wear system of dressing, influenced with a sartorial edge, designed to travel season to season.”
As well as being a home grown brand, Model Citizen is also 100 percent made and manufactured in Australia.
“For the first time ever our garments featured will include the ‘Made in Australia’ mark, following our shift to Australian production. We feel that this development aligns with our ambition to highlight the luxury streetwear movement in Australia,” Eeshaal says.
Model Citizen will show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia on Friday 20 May, alongside the very best the fashion industry has to offer.
