International fashion retailer H&M will open its flagship Queensland store in the Queen Street Mall this weekend — and they’ll be giving out gift cards to keen shoppers.

H&M (short for Hennes & Mauritz, if you’ve ever wondered about that) will open their flagship store at 170 Queen Street this Saturday 14 November at 10am.

The popular retailer, known for selling quality fashion at affordable prices, will take up prime position in the Brisbane CBD’s shopping district. The store will span approximately 3,500 square metres over two levels and stock apparel, underwear and accessories for men, women, and kids, as well as the H&M Home concept.

The store will open at 10am, following a pre-party starting at 8am with giveaways, breakfast and DJ beats. Truly dedicated shoppers who don’t mind getting up early will be excited to know the first 200 customers in line will receive H&M gift cards ranging from $20 to $1,000.

Founded in Sweden in 1947, H&M entered the Australian market in 2013 and have opened seven stores nationwide, including stores at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre and Westfield Garden City. This will be the fast fashion giant’s first store in the Brisbane CBD.

Will you be getting there early to win a gift card, or do you value your Saturday sleep-in more than that? Let us know in the comments below!
