Fresh from strutting her stuff at New York Fashion Week, Brisbane-based model Madeline Stuart is set to front a fashion parade with a difference.

The 18-year-old recently became one of the first models with Down syndrome to walk the famous catwalk and will be back on home soil to support FashionAble a runway show celebrating ability and diversity.

The event is a must-see for local fashionistas with David Jones collections to dominate the evening.

Funds raised from the night will go to Multicap, a disability service provider that has been operating across Queensland for over 50 years.

Multicap CEO Joanne Jessop says Madeline embodies everything that the event stands for, that ‘anything is possible’.

“We are delighted to welcome the beautiful Madeline Stuart to our first ever Multicap fashion runway event, celebrating ability and diversity,” she says.

She’ll be joined by Miss World Australia, Tess Alexander, who will be the MC for the evening.

One lucky guest at the event will win two return flights to New York, as well as accommodation, a prize supplied by Jetstream Travel.

Gift bags from Queens Plaza will also be handed out on the night, with sponsored items provided by David Jones and Alannah Hill.

Food will be provided by Coffee & Chocolate and FantAsia.

The two hour show will take place on Thursday 5 November at Queens Plaza, Brisbane City. Limited tickets are available at stickytickets.com.au.
