The Brisbane-based clothing brand has launched their new Halloween collection.

With 45 products featuring new prints and styles, Black Milk’s Halloween collection – famously worn by Katy Perry in 2014 – is their biggest non-licensed release this year.

Black Milk Clothing founder and head designer James Lillis says: “Halloween is like Christmas for our community – it’s the most anticipated time of year, so we like to go all out with our Halloween releases!

“This year’s collection is inspired by a steam punk, neo-Victorian aesthetic – it’s beautiful and elegant, yet creepy and fun at the same time, which really suits the general Black Milk style.

“Some pieces in the collection draw quite heavily on this inspiration, but we have included some more ‘traditionally scary’ Halloween pieces as well.”

The Lady Anarchy collection tells the story of Victoria Stanton, a shy young woman who marries Lord Blacklock, an enigmatic genius with a talent for creating strange, complex machines.

Victoria is driven mad with grief after Lord Blacklock’s mysterious death, but the discovery of a strange wardrobe and mechanical weaponry prompts her transformation into Lady Anarchy – a dangerous figure intent on hunting down those responsible for her husband’s death.

Black Milk customers will be drawn into Lady Anarchy’s world through a digital lookbook, with new pages and campaign imagery revealing the full story over the week leading up to the collection’s release.

A themed preview event will be held in the Black Milk HQ concept store in Brisbane on Friday 2 October, giving customers the opportunity to buy from the collection ahead of the release date.
