Former Miss Universe Australia Rachael Finch was just named the UBET Cup Carnivàle Day ambassador and will be bringing her brand of girly glam to the Channel Seven Brisbane Racing Carnival.

Every year, many people mark the Channel Seven Brisbane Racing Carnival as a must-do on their social calendars and 2015 looks to be one of the best years yet.

Officially launched at Eagle Street Pier yesterday, the Channel Seven Brisbane Racing Carnival promises to be a feast for the senses and a fabulous celebration of racing, entertainment, food and fashion.

Rachael Finch will be bringing her unique brand of fabulous fashion and girly glamour to the Carnival and punters couldn’t be more excited. Finch has been in media for many years and has a very loyal fan base mainly due to her down-to-earth personality, natural beauty and enthusiasm for life. Currently signed to Seven Network as a presenter, Rachael reports on a range of lifestyle, fashion and sports stories and she is also an ambassador for Australia’s largest department store, MYER.

In addition to Rachael, there will be a bevy of successful beauties standing alongside her on the first day of the Carnival. Look out for fellow Miss Universe Australia winner Kimberley Busteed and our much-loved singing superstar Jessica Mauboy on May 9 at the Doomben Racecourse.

There is so much happening both on track and off with collaborative projects and imaginative marquees.

One of the highlights will be Little Brisbane, and Brisbane Racing Club Chairman Neville Bell explained that it is “an exclusive infield precinct, which brings together three of Brisbane’s leading restaurants – ARIA, Moda and The Boatshed.” Sounds delicious!

Lovers of old school glamour and art deco stylings should make a beeline directly to The Birdcage, an amazing two-story marquee which will transport guests to an era of 1920’s inspired decadence. Plus Brisbane’s most stylish men and women will battle it out for more than $25,000 in prizes in the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre Fashions on the Field competition. So let’s hope your outfit preparation is well under way.

There is a fun line up of entertainment acts which was announced at the launch with R&B pop sensation Jess Mauboy headlining the festivities on May 9. Feel more like rocking out with The Choirboys? Then keep May 23 free and head to the stage at the James Boag’s Premium Doomben 10,000. On Treasury Casino & Hotel Ladies’ Oaks Day on May 30, there is a nod to local talents with up and coming Brisbane band Slip on Stereo performing. The last date to mark on your calendar will be the AAMI Stradbroke Day on June 5 where you can see ’80s synthpop stars Pseudo Echo.
