The countdown is on! Australia’s first Forever 21 store is opening in Brisbane in just a few days.
If you’ve ever wanted to run down Queen Street Mall belting out We Are The Champions and prank calling your friends in Melbourne and Sydney, now would be the time.
Next week Brisbane will become home to our nation’s first ever Forever 21 store, beating out other so-called ‘fashion capitals of Australia’ for the privilege.
Retail giant Forever 21 will officially open its first Australian store in our very own Queen Street Mall this Thursday 16 October, with an epic daytime launch event and lots of fast fashion.
Doors to the style mecca will swing open at 10am, but you might want to park yourself there early with a deck chair because free watches will be given out to the first customers in line and there will be gifts for all shoppers throughout the day while stocks last.
Forever 21 Brisbane will be situated at 66 Queen Street (under Brisbane’s new NEXT hotel) and the new two level 1900 square metre store will stock women’s, men’s, kid’s and plus size clothing. The focus will be on affordable LA fashion which will be delivered to the store daily.
Founder and Global CEO Don Chang will officially open the store, accompanied by fashion blogger Alli Simpson (flying in from LA) and Lisa from The Bachelor, who will mingle with the crowd throughout the day.
Mr Chang opened his first store, then called Fashion 21, in downtown LA in 1984.
Since then, Forever 21 has become a retail giant with over 600 stores worldwide including US, Bahrain, Canada, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Europe, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, Oman, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and now Australia.
Brisbane shoppers will be the first in the country to have access to the label’s summer collection, which will carry an array of colorful printed and patterned pieces.
