Winter heats up with these top picks from Lisa Brown, Coussinet, Paula Hall, Guess and Windsor Smith – be cosy and chic with bmag’s winter style edit
Your guide to being cosy and chic with bmag’s winter style
Lisa Brown takes a walk on the wild side with her winter collection, called Wildish Women. The flowing crocheted robes, feathered capes, ruched pants and peasant-style dresses have a tribal influence mixed with vintage charm. From RRP$195 to $795, for stockists call 1300 103 160.
Warm and woolly
Richly coloured knits with a tribal influence are the foundation of Coussinet’s autumn/winter collection of scarves, gloves, belts and hats. The collection also features eco-friendly accessories made with recycled ring-pulls from aluminum cans.
Inspired by Zelda
Designer Paula Hall has named her latest collection Zelda after Zelda Fitzgerald, wife and muse of writer F. Scott Fitzgerald and often described as “the first flapper of the Jazz Age”. Jewellery is hand-crafted using pearls, Swarovskicrystals and glass beads in art deco-inspired settings.
Flowers in the bag
Who says you can’t wear white in winter? It’s an old fashion rule that’s easily broken with the Roselle Flap bag by Guess which features a delicate periwinkle blue floral print on faux snake base and a matching single chain strap. RRP$149.
High stepping metal
Windsor Smith adds some heavy metal edge to its winter heels. The Battle ankle strap (top left) RRP$139.95 and Bond heel (bottom right) RRP$129.95 are buckled up tight; Pixie patent pumps (bottom left) are studded all over, RRP$159.95; and the Gillie black suede (top right) is also studded, RRP$139.95.
