With a cute name and cuddly proportions, the new Fiat Panda should attract a whole lotta love now that it’s available in Australia.

You’ve got to love the new Fiat Panda; not only is it cute but the price is right.

Italy’s best-selling car has arrived here in four versions priced from $16,500 drive-away.

Within its compact dimensions, the Panda claims to comfortably accommodate five passengers plus 870 litres of cargo. Ditch the rear passengers, fold down their seats and there’s a load length of more than two metres.

The Panda’s star power unit offers just 875 cc and two cylinders, but it’s a little cracker, producing a lively 63 kW and petrol consumption of just 4.1 litres per 100 kms.

A 1.2 petrol and 1.3 diesel also are available and the most expensive of four models in the range, costing $24,000, comes with four-wheel-drive.

All Pandas provide Bluetooth connectivity with voice control and plug-in TomTom navigation is optional.

The $22,500 Panda Lounge includes intervention technology to prevent or minimise nose-tail collisions at low speeds.
