North American retailer Pottery Barn is set to open a new store in Fortitude Valley this October, with different brands for everyone including Pottery Barn Kids and West Elm.

Located at 19 Wandoo Street, the new store will open on Thursday 1 October and be organised according to lifestyle displays – designed to inspire customers and make shopping easy and enjoyable.

Local Brisbane-based photographer and stylist, Kara Rosenlund will bring her inimitable flair to the stores’ opening-day celebrations as guest host.

“I’m thrilled West Elm, Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids have chosen our city of Brisbane for their new stores,” she says.

“This will give Brisbane the chance to shop and experience retail and dedicated service on another level, something we haven’t had the opportunity to be engaged in before now. It is a very exciting time to be shopping in Brisbane.”

There will be sections within the store dedicated to living rooms, outdoor spaces, dining rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as feature walls that will display lighting, rugs and window treatments.

Focused displays on bedding, dinnerware, frames, and candles will also be featured throughout the retail floor.

At the centre of the store will be a Design Studio, a destination for customers to sit and discuss their furniture and decorating needs and plan their space with specially trained associates.

The Design Studio houses fabric, wood and leather swatches so customers can see all the choices available to them. It also offers complimentary in-store or in-home design services where specially trained associates provide expert design advice.

Pottery Barn Kids will feature well-made furniture and accessories for nurseries, bedrooms, and play spaces. It will be kid-friendly (of course!) and easy to shop.

West Elm helps customers express their personal style at home with authentic, affordable and approachable products. Mixing clean lines, natural materials and handcrafted collections from the US and around the world, West Elm’s in-house team of designers creates unique, affordable designs for modern living.

In addition, a gift registry program for weddings and other special events is available in-store and online.
