Everybody loves The Simpsons , but this couple have taken their love of the show to a whole new level.
Marcia Andreychuk and Joel Hamilton from Calgary in Canada have spent the last eight months recreating their kitchen to look like The Simpsons’.
The couple first started their DIY project by hanging an image of The Simpsons’ kitchen in their kitchen as inspiration, then they started looking for the bits and pieces they would need for the job.
Maria Andreychuk told Buzzfeed the idea came at random.
“It was a random, conceptual moment that set everything in motion,” she said.
“I’m just the fan of their quirky kitchen! Stainless steel appliances and modern cabinetry is so boring to me.”
From the cabinets, to the door handles, the iconic corncob drapes and the utensils – the couple’s kitchen looks very much like the real thing, down to the smallest of details.
Check out the checked floor and the purple cabinets.
The couple even found the same utensils!
And of course, you can’t forget those iconic corncob drapes. Those drapes have been burnt and shoved in the InSinkErator countless times, yet they keep coming back!
The couple is still on the lookout for some of the finishing touches, like a purple toaster, teal blender, organ phone and yellow canisters. They’re also going to get their nephews to recreate the Simpson children’s artwork on the fridge.
What do you think of this? Would you do this to your kitchen?
