They’ve built a house inside a store and it might change the way we shop. So what exactly is MUSE by Pillow Talk? We chatted to General Manager and co-creator Kate Spencer about this exciting new direction for homewares and interior styling.

MUSE By Pillow Talk is leading the way in conceptual shopping and the digital homewares world is starting to look very different. If you love browsing through stores, imagining the way your life could look, MUSE will make that so much easier. You won’t even have to leave your couch if you don’t want to.

Described as a home, a website, an extreme showroom – MUSE is providing a new solution to shopping. Kate Spencer explains, “We wanted to create a website you could literally walk into, but a website that was a home, that was comforting, and above all, entertaining for our customers.”

The first MUSE store has launched at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre and is open for your viewing pleasure seven days a week.

After travelling the world, Kate realised that she couldn’t find what she was looking for so decided to create it herself. “I was looking for a space that would lead the way in conceptual shopping and this was something I had never seen in my travels, where our customers enjoyment and pleasure came first and providing a space where you could immerse yourself in a shopping experience like no other.”

The Pillow Talk team have prided themselves on thinking of everything that a customer might need or want from an experience like this. All angles in customer service have been covered from purchasing in store (even the furniture and chandeliers), to same day delivery, pick up in store, or the ability to leave your parcels with their concierge while you shop in the centre.”

She points out, “We have fully decorated each zone (bedrooms, lounge rooms, the veranda, bathroom and hallway) and invite customers to sit down and relax, enjoy the visuals on the giant screens and shop on iPads. There’s even a child friendly screen to keep the little ones busy and free wifi.”

There are various themes that the homewares and products have been divided into and they include Breezy Brights, Floral Fiesta, Geometrics, Glamour Dreams, Modern Living, Natural Balance and Ocean Waves making for an addictive shopping experience. It is all beautifully presented and the images online are high quality.

So whether you’re an online shopper or someone who prefers to see, smell and touch before they buy, MUSE by Pillow Talk has you covered. This could become addictive. Don’t say you haven’t been warned.
