Check our these pet costumes for the holidays for your canine.
Brisbane resident Nadine Packer has been a canine stylist for this city for the last 13 to 14 years and says it’s overwhelming how much her dog fashion business Fluppies has grown to cater for the public’s pet demands.
“I cater mostly for big dogs, but I have outfits for half kilo dogs all the way up to greyhounds, I’ve even done requests for a goat and a cow,” she says.
Nadine makes 90 per cent of the coats sold at Fluppies and around winter they are very popular buys.
“People tend to buy for birthdays, fancy dress parties, doggy walks or million paws events, puppy graduations and even for sun protection,” she says.
Fluppies has a wide range of costumes, with Nadine pointing out that Brisbane canine owners are increasingly becoming more open to costumes and dress ups for pets, rather than traditional coats.
With Halloween and Christmas coming up, here are some top picks for your dog:
For Halloween, Nadine’s top pick would be the Pumpkin costume, but there are also some dog singlets with pumpkins printed on them.
Nadine says Christmas costumes are her biggest sellers, with her top picks being the Santa Claus red coat and Mrs Clause outfits, but there are also candy-cane print dresses and Santa hats on offer.
