Muggles and wizards alike will be petrified by the Haunted Hogwarts attraction at WindsorFest.
Designed by Brisbane’s biggest Harry Potter fan, the Haunted Hogwarts is being billed as a spooky interactive installation, and will be the highlight of Windsor State School’s huge WindsorFest event.
There are regular school fetes, and then there’s WindsorFest. The event sounds like it’s going to be spectacularly over-the-top, with a selection of rides to rival the Ekka and hundreds of prizes up for grabs.
As well as the Haunted Hogwarts, WindsorFest will feature over 20 of Brisbane’s best food trucks and stalls, including fresh Italian cuisine from Gnocchi Gnocchi Brothers, old-fashioned soft serve ice creams from Ruby the Little Red Ice Cream Van, slow-cooked BBQ from That BBQ Joint, and burgers from Melbourne’s beloved Mr Burger.
As the sun begins to go down at 4pm, the rides and daytime activities will wrap up, jazz bands will begin to play and bars will open up at 4pm. The adult festivities will continue through to 6pm.
You’ll also have the chance to win over $10,000 in prizes as part of the raffles and silent auctions taking place during the day.
WindsorFest will be held at Windsor State School (2 Harris Lane, Windsor) on Sunday 16 October from 10am to 6pm. A gold coin donation is required for entry.
