This poor old mum thought her daughter had been poisoned after seeing her Snapchat filter.

Meet 30-year-old Rebecca Owen, from Manchester, England.

Rebecca’s mum, Lana Owen, has a history of being gullible, as Rebecca recently explained to Buzzfeed News.

“I once telephone pranked her saying the Queen wanted her to work at Buckingham Palace ’cause she worked for a catering agency at the time, and she believed it,” Rebecca said.

Rebecca was having some fun with Snapchat’s filters recently, and took a video of herself that made her head looked square.

She sent the video to her mum, and, well… you really just have to read this Facebook exchange to believe it.

The exchange has since gone viral, but Rebecca said her mum (whose first language is not English) is taking the whole thing in stride.

“She didn’t even know what viral meant two days ago, but yeah, she’s been great about it,” she said.
