See your favourite fairytales come to life on the big screen at Event Cinemas’ exclusive Disney Fairytale Film Festival next month.

On from 30 July to 28 August, the Disney Fairytale Film Festival will feature an array of Disney film screenings across Brisbane, including a sneak peak of Pete’s Dragon.

From Saturday 30 to Sunday 31 July enjoy Maleficent, starring Angelina Jolie.

Maleficent is a film all about the events that hardened villain Maleficent’s heart, driving her to curse Princess Aurora.

From Saturday 6 to Sunday 7 August take the kids to see Enchanted, where Princess Giselle is banished from an animated fairytale world and sent to live in modern day NYC.

Screenings of Into the Woods will also be held on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 of August. Into the Woods is all about a witch who conspires to teach important lessons to various characters of popular children’s stories including Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk and Rapunzel.

Then, on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 August enjoy a screening of Cinderalla, a live-action re-telling of the classic fairytale.

As part of the film festival, there will also be exclusive sneak previews of Pete’s Dragon on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 August.

Pete’s Dragon is a re-imagining of Disney’s cherished family film (of the same name), following the adventures of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott, who happens to be a dragon.

Tickets for the Fairytale Film Festival are just $10 each and can be purchased online here or at Event Cinemas’ box office.
