Direct from Broadway, the ‘unbubblievable’ Gazillion Bubble Show will kick off its first ever Oz tour at QPAC.
The Gazillion Bubble Show will serve as the highlight of QPAC’s 2016 Out of the Box festival for children eight years and under, before continuing on to Canberra, Sydney and Adelaide.
The show stars international ‘bubble artist’ Melody Yang, who’ll be performing some of the extraordinary bubble magic that’s seen her set an insane 16 Guinness World Records.
Melody comes from a long line of bubble artists. For over three decades, the Yang family has been exploring the unknown world of soap bubbles and producing shows that combine entertainment, art and science.
Their imagination and experimentation has resulted in a show that’s been seen by more than 22 million people, but has never come to Australia before.
“Our passion is encouraging children to express their creativity and use their imagination through the magic and science of bubbles,” Melody says.
“We are looking forward to interacting with children and families both as part of Out of the Box and in theatres across Australia, inviting them to be a part of this exciting and entertaining experience showcasing mind-blowing bubble magic.”
Out of the Box festival director Brett Howe is stoked to be bringing the Gazillion Bubble Show to Brisbane.
“The show invites children to step into an interactive bubble world, with spellbinding lasers, spectacular lighting effects and jaw-dropping masterpieces of bubble artistry,” he says.
“Gazillion Bubble Show is unlike anything Australian audiences will have seen before and is bound to be a highlight at Out of the Box in Brisbane and for audiences in Canberra, Sydney and Adelaide.”
QPAC will host Gazillion Bubble Show performances from 23 to 27 June. For tickets, visit outoftheboxfestival.com.au.
