A year seven student from New South Wales has penned a powerful letter to the Indonesian President in a bid for clemency for Bali Nine smugglers.
Jessica Larter, a 12-year-old grade seven student, has written to the Indonesian President Joko Widodo, asking him to spare the lives of Bali Nine smugglers Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran in a heartfelt letter.
She cites their reformation as reason for clemency, and adds that she wouldn’t want to live in “…a world without second chances and forgiveness”.
She adds that Australia’s perception of Indonesia has already been affected by the controversy, and hopes that a last-minute reprieve will improve the country’s image.
