Gold Coast food blogger Laura Bennington provides one of her iconic smoothie recipes, packed with a few superfoods such as cacao.

I also top my Bounty Smoothie with cut fresh banana and a little ‘chocolate sauce’, made up of half of a very ripe banana and 1 tsp of cacao powder – Laura Bennington, food blogger.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup of coconut milk
  • 1 tbs of cacao
  • 3/4 cup of coconut water
  • 1/4 cup of soy milk

Method:

  1. Mix cacao, soy milk and a splash of coconut water together
  2. Then blitz together the banana, coconut milk and coconut water until smooth
  3. Pour about 1/8 of the banana mixture into the bottom of a jar and then pour the cacao mixture on top.
  4. Now fill the jar with the rest of the banana mixture.
