Little Miss Kay’s, the new takeaway-only store from Brisbane burger institution Miss Kay’s, will open in Woolloongabba this weekend with $5 cheeseburgers on the menu.
Little Miss Kay’s will serve the same lunch and dinner menu as both the City and Mitchelton Miss Kay’s stores (including the ever-popular OG Burger, Ludakrisp, Porky Pig, Mac Daddy, MK Special and more), with one key difference — it’s ‘grab and go’ only.
The emphasis on fast and convenient takeaway (and the lack of a bar or milkshake menu) might come as a surprise to fans of the existing Miss Kay’s restaurants, which are known for their extensive venue space and bar options.
Owner Matt Lee says Little Miss Kay’s has been inspired by the changing attitude of existing customers.
“We’ve noticed an increasing demand for takeaway in our two stores, and Uber Eats has been very successful,” he says.
“This definitely inspired the Little Miss Kay’s concept.”
Lee says the new location has been chosen to capitalise on Woolloongabba’s current development boom.
“The demand has always been there for a store on the south side. Woolloongabba is a rapidly growing area, but we noticed a gap in the market for affordable, high quality food, which is why we believe that Little Miss Kay’s will be popular with locals and workers in the area,” he says.
Little Miss Kay’s (159 Logan Road, Woolloongabba) will open this Saturday 10 June. Trading hours are 10:30am to 8:30pm, Sunday to Thursday, and 10:30am to 9:30pm, Friday to Saturday.
To celebrate the opening on Saturday 10 June, Little Miss Kay’s will be offering half price ($5) cheeseburgers all day! You’ll need to sign up here and present your email on the day to claim your half-price burger.
