The Jetty in Bulimba has been reborn as an Italian restaurant.
If you’re Italian, you’ve probably been calling The Jetty ‘Il Molo’ this whole time anyway — because Il Molo is literally the Italian translation of The Jetty.
Owners Jason and Katie Coats have given the waterfront venue a major facelift, with a crisp black and white interior to symbolise new beginnings and a menu full of inclusive Italian meals for all ages.
For lunch and dinner, diners can now complement glasses of Italian wine with pappardelle pasta with a pork shoulder ragu, lamb shanks with parmasen polenta and green tapenade, and the signature Il Molo pizza with porcini mushroom, tomato, mozzarella, speck and truffle cream.
Because no real Italian meal stops at one course, aperitivo hours will preface social dinners with nibbles and drinks every day from 3pm to 5:30pm. And after your lunch or dinner, you can indulge with desserts like classic tiramisu, or pizza topped with Nutella, strawberries and icing sugar.
Italian coffees and pastries will be available for early birds to take away or enjoy in-house on weekdays, and on weekends, you’ll be able to grab breakfast by the river from 7am to 11am.
Il Molo is open now at 1b Oxford Street, Bulimba. To make a reservation, call 3899 6113.
