Sydney’s Salt Meats Cheese restaurant group will launch their first food truck in Brisbane by giving away 100 free pizzas!
The Fuel food truck will be Salt Meats Cheese’s first foray into street food, and will be serving up a combination of Italian classics and Fuel’s own signature pizzas, like the Truffle Mortadella.
In addition to pizzas, the Fuel food truck will offer an array of artisan cured meats and cheeses, which will rotate on a regular basis, as well as some wood-fired breakfast items for the early risers.
For those with a sweet tooth, they’ll be slinging Nutella-filled pizzas and Oreo-filled calzones.
The custom-made pizzeria-on-wheels, which is being billed as “the James Dean of food trucks”, has been designed by Salt Meats Cheese co-owner Stefano De Blasi and brought to life by Brisbane food truck experts Van Demons.
Fuel by Salt Meats Cheese will make its debut appearance at Gasworks in Newstead (where the restaurant group’s first Brisbane restaurant will be opening later this year) on Friday 5 May from 11am.
To celebrate their launch, they’ll be giving away free pizzas for the first 100 hungry customers. They’ll also be giving away a tonne of pizza-shaped towels; a limit of one pizza per person (and one beach towel per person) applies.
Following on from the unveiling of Fuel at Gasworks, the truck will make appearances at Carseldine Markets on Saturday 6 May from 6am to 3pm, and Milton Markets on Sunday 7 May from 6pm to 3pm.
The truck will also make encore appearances at Gasworks in Newstead on Saturday 6 May and Sunday 7 May from 5pm ’til late.
The food truck will be zipping all over Brisbane in the coming months, and will also be available for private hire for corporate catering, festivals and private pizza parties.
