The Little Brothers Mussel Festival will celebrate the new season of mussels with cooking demonstrations, live music and unlimited fresh mussels.

It’s almost time to harvest the new season of baby, blue-lipped mussels, and this year, The Mussel Brothers and Kinkawooka Shellfish are getting together to mark the occasion with the inaugural Little Brothers Mussels Festival.

Guests at the event, which will be held at Wandering Cooks, will enjoy a welcome drink and a serving of fresh oysters on arrival.

Over the course of the day, there’ll be a cooking demonstration and live music to enjoy, as well as an unlimited supply of mussels to gorge on — all included in the ticket price, which starts at $59 (or $25 for kids aged between 8 and 13).

Ticketholders will also enjoy a tasting of local cheeses from White Gold Creamery.

And yes, there will be a non-seafood menu for those poor, unfortunate people who let themselves get dragged along to a Mussel Festival despite the fact that they don’t eat seafood.

The Little Brothers Mussel Festival will be held at Wandering Cooks (on the corner of Fish Lane and Cordelia Street in South Brisbane) on Saturday 10 June from 3pm to 10pm. Tickets are available now at
