Fish Lane Festival is back to celebrate the best of South Brisbane’s live music, foodie and bar scenes.
After an auspicious debut in 2016, Fish Lane Festival will return for another massive celebration of the famous laneway’s finest cafes, restaurants and bars.
From midday onwards, Fish Lane Festival will bring together the who’s who of the local music, foodie and bar community so festivalgoers can drink, dance and dine the day (and night) away.
Now extending all the way from South Brisbane to West End, between Cordelia Street and Grey Street, Fish Lane has welcomed a number of new venues since the last festival, including the brand new Melbourne Residencies, housing Gelato Messina, Naim on Melbourne, La Lune Wine Co and the soon-to-be-opened Chu The Phat.
A public Fish Art development has also launched in the laneway, adding a creative element to the happening precinct and ensuring that festivalgoers will have some impressive street art to look at while they gorge themselves on gourmet eats and drinks.
The Fish Lane Festival foodie lineup for 2017 includes:
- The Fox Hotel
- Five Sisters
- Bird’s Nest
- Chu The Phat (opening in April)
- Copperface Jacks
- Gelato Messina
- Julius Pizzeria (Mangia Mangia Street Goods)
- Naim on Melbourne
- Saccharomyces Beer Cafe
- 31 Degrees
Each venue will be serving up their signature dishes, from Billykart’s famous pulled pork slider to Saccharomyces’ chilli nachos and Bird’s Nest’s paprika fries with Japanese mayo.
Gelato Messina will even be bringing a one-of-a-kind custom gelato creation to the festival (the special flavour is expected to be announced soon).
Colonial Brewing Co, the festival’s new presenting partner, will be pouring premium beers and ciders in their Bertie Cider Garden, while refreshing spritzers will be served from the Sofi Spritz Mobil. You’ll find tasty gin cocktails in the Tanqueray Gin Jungle, and if espresso martinis are more your style, the Ketel One Espresso Martini Bar will have your cravings covered.
The full entertainment line-up, which is expected to include three stages of local live bands and DJs, will be announced shortly.
Fish Lane Festival is a free, fully licensed 18+ event — minors are welcome, but they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
Fish Lane Festival will be held in Fish Lane (Merivale Street to Grey Street, South Brisbane) from noon to 10pm on Saturday 13 May.
