The Lamb Shop will open on King Street in March.

Offering a modern spin on traditional souvlaki, The Lamb Shop has built a cult following on the Gold Coast since owner Peter Gloftis opened the Broadbeach store in 2014.

The Lamb Shop’s philosophy of ‘fast food, done well’ comes through in their signature lamb souvlaki and hand cut chips with crumbled fetta; the eatery also offers bar snacks and small plates as well as a hearty feast of whole slow roasted lamb shoulder.

Andrew Hay, project director for the Brisbane Showgrounds, says The Lamb Shop will be a fitting addition to King Street.

“We’re thrilled with the growing line-up of impressive food and beverage retailers that we’ve curated for Brisbane’s most exciting precinct, and we’re sure The Lamb Shop is going to be hit with both those familiar with their Gold Coast offering, and those who have yet to try it,” he says.

“It’s local talent like this that makes King Street at the Brisbane Showgrounds an authentic Queensland dining destination. Lendlease creates the best places and ensuring we have the right retail mix is a vital component, so people can experience the best local talent and produce.”

Upon completion, King Street will be home to approximately 40 tenancies. GG’s Espresso, The George, Fat Dumpling, Il Verde, Sushi & Nori and Hello Chicken have all opened in the precinct since last August.

The Lamb Shop will open on King Street on Friday 3 March.
