Brisbane’s best brownies are coming to New Farm.
New Farm sweet tooths will soon find it even easier to get their hands on Dello Mano’s handmade brownies, cookies, cakes, chocolates and other decadent treats.
Co-owner Bien Peralta has confirmed that work has begun on Dello Mano’s third Brisbane store, which will be located in Merthyr Village Shopping Centre in New Farm.
“This is the start of something beautiful and chocolatey,” Peralta said in a video posted to the brand’s Facebook page.
“We look forward to seeing you down here at Merthyr Village! From Deb, Bien, Phoebe, Coco and the Dello Mano team, let’s eat brownies.”
Bmag has confirmed that the store is expected to open in the first two weeks of March.
This will be the third Dello Mano store for co-owners Bien and Deborah Peralta, following their original store in Teneriffe and their successful opening in the Queen Street Mall last year.
The couple started the business over a decade ago, after being inspired by a trip to Italy.
“I met Deb in 1991 when we both worked at Cadbury Australia,” Bien told Bmag last year. “As corporate beasts we always had a small dream of starting our own business and we eventually got to the point where we had a gutful of our jobs. We decided to take a trip to Italy, one of our favourite places outside of Brisbane, and it was that holiday — six weeks driving through the Italian countryside, laughing, crying, eating — that inspired us to start our own chocolate and brownie business.
“We had people tell us we had to be crazy to start a brownie business, but now we’ve spawned a little empire. You could say we have chocolate running through our veins.”
