Brisbane’s vegetarians and vegans have a fave new event.
Brisbane has plenty of great farmers’ markets — but, until now, we haven’t had a market that’s dedicated solely to vego food.
That’s about to change.
The Vegucation Festival & Market will pop up at Northey Street City Farm on Friday 9 December. It’s a not-for-profit, family-friendly night market focused on educating and inspiring those interested in taking on healthy, sustainable, cruelty-free and plant-based diets.
The vego festival will have multiple food stalls and vendors, as well as live music, ‘educational awareness stands’, and plenty of space to relax and enjoy the scenery of the Northey Street Farm with your mates.
At this stage, it looks like a one-off event, but if it attracts a decent crowd it’s easy to see it becoming a fixture on Brisbane’s market scene.
The Vegucation Festival & Market will be held at Northey Street City Farm (16 Victoria Street, Windsor) on Friday 9 December from 4:30pm to 10pm. For more info, visit their event page.
