Latin street food favourite Comuna Cantina has been a success in the Brisbane CBD, and now it’s expanding to the Gold Coast.
Comuna Cantina opened in Albert Lane in March, and has quickly become a favourite with its low-carb, high-protein menu and lively Latin vibes.
“We have focused on making Latin-inspired food as healthy and fresh as we can, so it is more approachable and a lighter style of dining than people have previously experienced,” owner Tim Johnson says.
“We also focus on creating a fun and upbeat vibe through our service and cocktails menu.”
Now they’re opening a second location in the newly developed ‘Resort’ precinct of Pacific Fair.
“We think the Gold Coast will be a perfect fit for the style of venue we have, with its focus on fresh and clean food and its upbeat and fun vibe,” Johnson says.
Naturally, the Comuna Cantina crew are working on a few exclusive menu items for the Gold Coast opening.
“We are working on a new cocktail list and adding some Brasilian-style churrosco and picanha items as we speak,” Johnson says.
Comuna Cantina is open now at Albert Lane (175 Albert Street, Brisbane City), and will open at Pacific Fair’s Resort precinct (2-30 Hooker Boulevard, Broadbeach Waters) on Thursday 29 September.
