Popular burger joint Brooklyn Depot finally comes to Brisbane this week.
The acclaimed American-style restaurant became a cult phenomenon after opening in Surfers Paradise early last year, with massive crowds turning out to try their burgers and brews.
A second Brooklyn Depot venue opened in Surry Hills in Sydney last month to similar fanfare.
Now, finally, Brisbane is on the menu.
Brooklyn Depot will open in South Bank this week, and co-owner Michael Rose says it’s the perfect location.
“We have been canvassing locations for quite some time and we are so excited to officially announce that we are opening our authentic, all-American concept to Brisbane,” he says.
“The city had better get ready for some incredible handcrafted American burgers and top shelf cocktails!”
Brooklyn Depot is inspired by old Brooklyn, and has become a favourite with Gold Coast locals thanks to its handcrafted, high-quality and unique burgers, hot dogs, salads and desserts.
They also boast BBQ pork ribs, chicken wings, skinny fries, frickles (fried pickles) and their signature ‘crib’ salad.
For those with a sweet tooth, try the double waffle ice cream sandwich or caramel pecan chocolate brownie, washed down with a decadent Depot Shake. These thick, hand-spun milkshakes can be enjoyed with or without alcohol, depending which side of 18 you fall on.
Brooklyn Depot will open at 168 Grey Street, South Brisbane tomorrow (Tuesday 19 July), and will be open seven days a week, from 11am ’til late.
