Brisbane’s popular seafood restaurant Gambaro has really stepped it up a notch, boasting a new modern look and an incredible new winter menu.

World renowned for signature mud crab and lobster specialties and previously awarded Brisbane’s Best Seafood Restaurant on numerous occasions, Gambaro Restaurant has had a fantastic makeover complimenting the rest of its family, Black Hide Steakhouse and Gambaro Hotel.

Designed by Marion Lam Design, the restaurant’s new seafood-inspired look features marine blue tones, dark timber features and modern booth seating – but that’s not all.

When we say ‘seafood-inspired’ we mean seafood-inspired! The restaurant is also decorated with gold fish details in contrast with the gold seashell wall – and they look absolutely amazing!

The sophisticated, enriching and decadent new look not only sits in well within the Gambaro brand, it really suits the restaurant’s new winter menu too.

Head Chef, Lukas McEwan (former chef of Rockpool in Sydney), says Gambaro’s new modern menu reflects the new decor.

“The new menu has a strong Italian influence with dishes like Orecchiette, Casarecce and Kingfish Carpaccio,” he says.

“All the ingredients and dishes are seasonal to winter. The produce really is the key, we don’t overpower the product; we try to let the produce shine.”

Seafood lovers can expect beautiful fresh Australian seafood when dining at the restaurant, including Live Tasmanian Crayfish, Queensland Barramundi, Coffin Bay Oysters and Tasmanian Salmon.

Popular dishes you have to try include BBQ Moreton Bay bugs with cavolo nero and lemon butter sauce, the sweet corn soup with spanner crab and basil and the mussels with tomato and fregola. Drool!

While seafood is their specialty, there is also a range of non-seafood dishes including both meat and vegetarian options, to satisfy all tastes.
