Brisbane foodies, rejoice! The Sunnybank $2 Food Trail Winter Edition is set to return in June, boasting its biggest authentic Asian culinary offering to date.

Check your couch cushions for some gold coins and get ready to take your taste buds on a self-guided foodie adventure, exploring and sampling a huge array of delicious $2 mini-dishes on offer from over 40 local restaurants and vendors.

The bi-annual food trail attracts thousands of Brisbane locals to the Sunnybank precinct, making it one of Brisbane’s most popular bi-annual foodie experiences.

The 2015 summer trail saw over 14,000 people descend on Sunnybank Plaza and Sunny Park to feast on a variety of cuisines, including Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and Taiwanese dishes.

The 2016 winter menu will feature an abundance of mouth-watering dishes, including steaming noodle soups, spicy BBQ stir-fries, delicious deep fried dim sum, fresh banh mi rolls, steamed custard buns, pan fried dumplings and more.

On top of the 42 restaurants involved and 84 menu items on offer, Asahi will also be joining the food trail in 2016 with a pop-up bar at Sunny Park, so you can stop in and sip on a refreshing cold beer along the way.

There’ll also be live music and entertainment at every corner of the trail, with over 20 talented local musicians and roaming performers, as well as free balloons for the kids and traditional lion dancers.

The event is free to enter and all ages are welcome.

Pack your loose change, grab your friends and family and enjoy a winter foodie adventure at Sunnybank Plaza and Sunny Park Shopping Centre on Saturday 18 June from 2pm to 8pm.
