Your stomach is in for a big one. It’s time to experience life, Italian-style, at the Brisbane Italian Food and Wine street festival.

You’ll be able to savour the tastes, sights and sounds of Italy, from fine Italian street food and regional Italian wines to live music, when this free event descends on New Farm Park on Sunday 29 May.

Celebrated in Brisbane since 2007, the festival will once again paint Brisbane red, white and green.

For its 10th anniversary, the festival will once again sit on the riverfront in beautiful New Farm Park, where street vendors will be serving wood fired pizza, pasta and delicious gelato, with Italian wines coming from several regions around Italy.

The festival aims to promote Italian culture in Australia and around the world, and highlight the influence of Italian culture in Australia as a result of immigration and integration.

A worthy goal, for sure — but to be honest, we’re just here for the food and wine, and in that regard, it’s safe to say this event will deliver.

The Brisbane Italian Food and Wine Street Festival will be held at New Farm Park on Sunday 29 May from 11am to 6pm. Entry is free.
