Get your walking shoes on for Bite Sip Stroll, a first-of-its-kind food and wine event that will offer food lovers a curated selection of food and wine from some of Brisbane’s finest restaurants and chefs.

Over the course of an afternoon, attendees will stroll along Brisbane’s riverfront boardwalk between four restaurants to bite and sip a unique meal and wine pairing.

Head chefs from Brisbane restaurants Esquire, Restaurant Two, Saké and Urbane will each be designing a unique dish for the event. To complement each meal, the team from the Wine Selectors Tasting Panel will select the perfect wine pairing for each course.

At each of the restaurants, staff will meet and greet attendees and explain the inspiration behind each dish. The Wine Selectors crew will also be on hand at selected venues to give diners the details on the paired wines, and offer additional samples.

The event has been conceived by Brisbane locals Ben Daly, Carly Griffin and Maddy Magi-Prowse, and is inspired by the dining culture of Europe, where it’s not unusual to have a bite here, a glass of wine there, and stroll between venues, taking in the city.

“We wanted to create a moving, scrumptious adventure right here in Australia, exploring and celebrating our most interesting culinary hubs,” Ben says.

“Being Brisbane locals, who have eaten our way through most of the city’s top restaurants, we thought it made sense to host the inaugural event in our home city.

“The Botanic Gardens and Riverside area is Brisbane’s epicentre for fine food and progressive dining with incredible views on offer. The perfect setting for what we hope will become an annual event on the foodie calendar.”

Bite Sip Stroll will be held on Saturday 4 June; the three-and-a-half hour event will commence at 1pm. For more info and tickets, visit
