Brisbane’s original farmers market is coming to Hawthorne.

Brisbane’s southside will welcome the flavours and colours of the iconic Jan Powers Farmers Markets from Friday 1 April.

The Hawthorne Twilight Markets will feature over 40 stalls, including local produce, international flavours, artisan food, meat and fish providers, as well as a range of Friday night snack-makers, sausages, crepes, dumplings, French pizzas, cheese creations and more.

There’ll also be a village square area for seating, a bar and music and a jumping castle for the kids.

Entry is free, and dogs are welcome.

The Jan Powers Twilight Market essentially replaces the Love Your Local Markets in Hawthorne, which pulled up stumps in February.

It’s the latest addition to the impressive Jan Powers Farmers Markets stable, founded by Jan and Sammy Power, which also includes markets in the city, Manly, Mitchelton, and at the Brisbane Powerhouse.

Jan Powers Farmers Markets at Twilight will be held at Hawthorne Park on the first and third Friday of every month from 4pm to 8pm.
