Are you Team Reuben or Team Cuban? You’ll have to decide when Barbecue Mafia’s low ‘n’ slow shack pops back up this weekend.
The Brisbane barbecue lads will be putting their low and slow spin on the Reuben and the Cuban at Republic Coffee Traders this Saturday.
For the Cuban, the boys are promising 12-hour cherry woodsmoked pulled pork collar, smoked ham off the bone, cheddar cheese, mustard and pickles on a buttery, toasted hoagie-style roll.
For the Reuben, think a 12-hour cherry woodsmoked Wagyu pastrami, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, pickles and Russian dressing, also served on a buttery, toasted hoagie-style roll.
All the meat is sourced from Ashgrove butcher Meat at Billy’s, and woodsmoked all day on the team’s 24-inch reverse offset Radar Hill trailer smoker.
For dessert, Republic Coffee Traders will be serving up a chocolate brownie, vanilla gelato and fresh strawberries for $10.
Oh, and best of all, it’s BYO beer and wine.
Barbecue Mafia will pop up at Republic Coffee Traders (32 Caswell St, East Brisbane) this Saturday 12 March from 5pm. It’s cash-only and it’ll only run until the meat sells out, so you might want to get there early.
