After five months of planning and coordinating, the Red Hill Farmers Markets have announced a new home and a new name — the Milton Markets.
The new site, at Cribb Street in Milton, has been chosen for its undercover parking, public transport access and improved facilities.
Market coordinators were forced to look for a new site due to heavy construction works that began in Red Hill in December 2015, and haven’t ruled out moving back to Red Hill once construction is completed in 2017/18.
Despite the new location, The Milton Markets remain dedicated to fresh farm-direct produce from south-east Queensland and northern NSW; unique gourmet food stalls you won’t see anywhere else; traditional foods; and market provisions made by passionate producers, growers, farmers, painters, cooks, chefs, bakers, fishmongers, butchers, baristas, juicers, and all those with a skill, hobby or passion.
The Milton Markets will open on Sunday 17 April with a big day out for families, including pony rides, jumping castles, live entertainment and taste tests!
The markets will run every Sunday from 6am to 12pm on the corner of Cribb and Little Cribb Streets in Milton.
