Mr Edward’s Alehouse and Kitchen will hold a Craft Beer Game Show for the beer geeks and connoisseurs of Brisbane next month, as part of Brewsvegas celebrations.

Held on Monday 14 March, the Craft Beer Game Show will see participants compete in a series of interactive quizzes based on craft beer.

Owner of Mr Edward’s Alehouse, Daniel Whiffen says the evening will consist of four different rounds, including a beer-oriented quiz and blind beer tastings.

“It’s not going to be any normal sterile quiz night, it’ll be fun and interactive,” he says.

“There will be four rounds which you can compete in as a team or an individual, there’ll be blind tastings of nine different beers and we’ll also give you a share platter so you can taste our beautiful meats and cheeses.

“An event like this (craft beer game show) really stands out for Mr Edwards Alehouse, as we do have a massive focus on craft beers and it really allows us to showcase our range,” Daniel says.

“We would love for all those beer fanatics and geeks out there to get involved. I’ll even chuck in a few curve ball questions for you!”

If beer isn’t your thing and you know nothing about the stuff, Daniel says you can always just come along and enjoy an incredible dining experience.

Daniel says the venue offers a European fusion menu filled with hearty slow cooked meat dishes and charcuterie (a selection of cured meats and cheeses).

“Our head chef Mick Garry, who originates from Ireland, spent 15 years in the business working in some of Dublin’s finest such as Thorton’s Resturant and worked alongside Guillaume Lebrun from Patrick Guilbaud, Ireland’s only restaurant with two Michelin stars. He’s an incredible chef and has put together an incredibly tasty menu for us.

“It’s a fun and feel good event, so whether you’re a beer fanatic or not you can enjoy the atmosphere and just have fun!”

Mr Edward’s Alehouse and Kitchen’s is located at 46 Edward Street in Brisbane. The Craft Beer Game Show will be held on Monday 14 March. To register and for more information visit
