World renowned celebrity chef and TV star Nigella Lawson will be swapping a frigid mid-winter England for the steamier weather of Brisbane this January as part of her Australian book tour.

Fans of the British writer and television cooking show host will be able to see Nigella in conversation with food writer Jill Dupleix on Tuesday 19 January at Brisbane City Hall, as part of a three-city Australian book tour to promote her newest cookbook Simply Nigella – Feel Good Food.

“I’m thrilled Nigella is coming and very much looking forward to sitting down to talk with her,” Jill says.

“She’s a fantastic conversationalist-intelligent and witty, self deprecating and very honest. She’s had an amazing life and has a lot to talk about.”

Nigella has sold ten million books worldwide since her first, How to Eat in 1998 and has become a household name, thanks to her many television series.

While she’s in the country, Nigella will also be joining the next season of MasterChef Australia as a guest chef, along with MasterChef favourites Marco Pierre White and Heston Blumenthal.

The 60 minute ‘in conversation’ will be followed by a book sale and signing. There will be an opportunity for attendees to submit questions for Ms Lawson via social media prior to the event. Copies of Simply Nigella – Feel Good Food will also be on sale on the night.

Nigella Lawson – In Conversation will be held on Tuesday 19 January at Brisbane City Hall from 7 to 8:15pm. Tickets are available here.
