Eats and Beats will spread some Christmas cheer throughout Logan City this month, as it starts its five week tour as part of the city’s Christmas Festival.
The popular event will kick off its Christmas celebrations on Friday 20 November at the Hyperdome before heading to Jimboomba, Beenleigh, Browns Plains and Logan Central.
Governance, Finance and Economic Development Chairperson, Councillor Luke Smith, says Eats and Beats had quickly established itself as one of the city’s favourite events since its debut in March this year.
“People were telling us they would like to see more pop up events in the City of Logan and they certainly turned out for the first one at IKEA,” he says
“Thousands of people came to that one, far more than we had anticipated, and the crowds have continued to support Eats and Beats as it has moved around the city.”
“We have wanted to share this event with everyone in Logan so we are thrilled that we have an opportunity to do that by combining it with the city’s Christmas celebrations.”
The Eats and Beats events will run on Fridays between 5pm and 9.30pm and will welcome back regular food truck favourites including King of Wings, Tender Calamari, Little Back and Fiery Deli, as well as carollers, live entertainment and an appearance by the one and only Santa.
Eats and Beats will travel to the following locations:
Friday 20 November — Logan Hyperdome (5pm – 9:30pm)
Friday 27 November — Cusack Lane, Jimboomba (5pm — 9:30pm)
Friday 4 December — Beenleigh Town Square (5pm — 9:30pm)
