Don’t know why Tasmania is becoming a foodie mecca? You’re about to find out.
Tasmania is slowly carving its own space in the Australian wine and food market, and at the Vin Diemen 2015 event, you’ll find out exactly why.
Expect a hit parade of Tasmania’s celebrated wines, including sparkling, Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Tasmania’s wine is as diverse as its dramatic landscape, with Clover Hill, Tolpuddle, Glaetzer Dixon, House of Arras and Stefano Lubiana just some of the 26 + strong line up of wine producers on show.
And it’s not just about the brilliant wine line up. Tasmanian ciders are leading the way, and Frank’s and Willie Smith’s will be on hand to prove why the Apple Isle is Australia’s spiritual home of cider.
Festival goers will need to eat, of course, so Tasmania’s famous fresh produce will also be on offer.
The Vin Diemen series comes to Light Space (30 Light Street, Fortitude Valley) on Thursday 20 August. For more info, visit our event guide.
