We’re about to type five of the best words you could ever hope to see in the same place: food truck, free entry, laneway.

Food Truck Laneway, held on the third Sunday of the month in the carpark and laneway behind the Stones Corner Hotel, is fast becoming a must-do for Southside foodies.

The event (presented by the World Food Markets) kicked off a couple of months ago in response to the success of the Stones Corner Festival, which highlighted the revival of the Stones Corner precinct.

The third Food Truck Laneway is coming up on Sunday 16 August with some of Brisbane’s best food trucks, including Bella BBQ, Char Baby, Fiery Deli, Fire’N’Dough – Wood Fired Pizza, Gourmet H-Dogz, Gourmet Dumplings, Greek Street Kantina, Juan More Taco, Sinabro food truck, Sushi Neko food van and Brisbane’s first food truck, The Bun Mobile.

The mood outside will be set by fairy lights, outdoor seating, heaters and buskers. You can also bring food from the trucks into the pub, where there’ll be live music from local troubadour Donnelle Brooks and free open-mic comedy from 6:30pm with guest MC Mike Van Acker, as well as the prerequisite selection of wine, craft beers and ciders.

Best of all, this is a free event — so grab your mates and head to the Stones Corner Hotel on Sunday 16 August.
