If you love food and wine, the QAGOMA Scenic Rim Discovery and Degustation tour at the Gallery of Modern Art on Saturday, 13 June, is the perfect tour for you!

The tour comes in the lead-up to the Scenic Rim Eat Local Week (27 June – 5 July) and celebrates local businesses and rural production in the Scenic Rim area.

Located in the stunning natural landscape of the Scenic Rim, the full day tour includes visits to local cheese, olive, tomato and wine producers featuring sheep milking demonstrations, cheese, verjuice, tomato, olive and wine tastings.

Hosted by QAGOMA Executive Chef and Eat Local Week ambassador Josue Lopez, the day tour will conclude with a sumptuous seven-course degustation at the award-winning GOMA restaurant.

Each course will shine a spotlight on produce from the Scenic Rim region and be matched with wines from the region, like butter poached Aratula freshwater crayfish, smoked avocado, yellow tomato, native finger lime with 2014 Welgan Estate Vermentino and Confit of Neuendorf Farm suckling pig, blood pudding, pickled heirloom beetroots, pigweed matched with 2012 Witches Falls ‘Wild Ferment’ Grenache.
