After a couple of deliciously successful pop-up food events earlier this year, Downey Park Food Trucks are back for good this April as a permanent monthly event.

Food lovers will be delighted to hear that the Downey Park Food Trucks (DPFT) will be hosting a mix of food trucks on the 26th of April, with some old favourites alongside a few exciting new recruits.

After some wild weather in March forced them to delay their official monthly event kick-off, DPFT have made sure to check there’ll be nothing but blue skies when they return.

It’s expected to be a pleasant day with an all new lineup, sure to whet the appetites of Brisbanites hungering for another DPFT food in the park affair.

DPFT organiser Emma Cuell says the event’s growing online following is proof that Brisbane’s appetite for the less conventional, pop-up food phenomenon is spreading.

“Variety will be the key ingredient to another successful event”, Ms Cuell says.

“We’re drawing on a ‘top ten’ mix of new and returning trucks, including the new Doughnut Bar that fans are chomping to try!”

Chocolate Komberry Co’s Doughnut Bar, is Australia’s first food truck dedicated to the mouthwatering craft of making fresh artisan doughnuts.

Among the list of other popular trucks will be ChipTease, Pizzantica, Puerto Taco, The Bone Lorry, Little Back, Gourmet H-Dogz, Vira Lata, The German Sausage Hut and V’s Coffee Van.

This is sure to be a delectable event so grab some of your friends and family, pack your picnic rug and most importantly a hefty appetite.

The next Downey Park Food Trucks event will be held this Sunday 26 April in Windsor. For more information about the event, check out our Event Guide listing.
