Burgers got black at GOMA with the introduction of the Sublime Burger, a culinary creation inspired by the works of artist Michale Sailstorfer.
Are you game to sample something a little different?
Then head to GOMA and get your hands on the Sublime Burger. Made up of a charcoal bun, Black Angus patty, jamón, black mayo, lettuce, tomato and Monterey Jack cheese, the burger looks like it will pack a flavour punch. Already getting countless comments on their Instagram feed, GOMA invite you to be brave and try the burger.
The burger itself was inspired by Wolken (Clouds) 2010, the work of artist Michale Sailstorfer and the piece, which consists of knotted black rubber truck inner tubes currently hanging from the ceiling at Queensland Art Gallery, looks like dark clouds. The current exhibition Sublime: Contemporary works from the Collection features artists who create effects of wonder and uncertainty by engaging with sacred architectures, sublime geometries and the power of the natural world.
The Sublime Burger is $15 and available at the QAG Cafe from 11am to 3pm daily.
