Why food trucks?

The flexibility of being able to serve new and current customers at different locations.

What were you doing before you got your food truck? What’s your background in food?

Worked as a chef in the past and currently in the horticultural industry.

What’s the most popular item on your menu?

Our gourmet topping “Bourbon BBQ Sauce, Vintage Cheddar Cheese, Smokey Bacon and Chives” with your choice of gourmet sausage.

What’s your favourite item on the menu?

We love all our toppings, each of them have their own unique flavour of the world.

Which suburbs do you usually operate in? Where’s your most popular stop?

During the weekends we are usually at Super A-Mart’s car park in Benowa. Otherwise look us up on our website, gh-dogz.com.au, Facebook or Twitter for event locations.

How do most people find out about your truck?

Word of mouth and social media.

Why do you think food trucks have become so popular?

Food trucks have become popular because the inspiration comes from other countries’ street food, their cuisine and popularity have made us want that same trending concept here in Australia as well.

Favourite music to listen to in the truck?

There’s no need to play music in the truck, there’s always bands playing at most of the great events.

Do you harbour any dreams of opening a brick-and-mortar restaurant?

Not really, because our passion is travelling to all different locations in the truck.

If your Food Truck was a Transformer, its name would be…

BUMBLEDOGZ.

Where can we find you over the next few weeks?

Either at Super A-Mart Benowa or we might surprise you at a random event.

Gourmet H-Dogz will appear at the Truck In & Tuck In Street Food Festival at Bridge Street in Fortitude Valley tonight (Friday 17 October) alongside Char Baby, Fiery Deli, The Bun Mobile, Chocolate Komberry Co, Sushi Neko, Vira Lata, Pizzantica and Local Mobile Deli.
