The statistics for women in Australia affected by domestic violence are of huge concern. Deborah Wilson and the team behind More Than Just A Handbag, a charity auction and cocktail party, believe that through the raising of funds and awareness, we can eliminate this growing problem.

One in three Australian women are affected by domestic violence.

34 per cent of women have experienced or will experience it in their lives.

One in four children will witness it in their own homes.

Two people are killed as a result of domestic violence every week in Australia.

CEO Deborah Wilson and her team are speaking out against this epidemic at the inaugural More Than Just A Handbag charity auction and cocktail party.

The event will be held on Wednesday 22 October from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at the Brisbane Club and tickets are $125 per person. Your exclusive ticket will include non-stop mouth-watering cocktails, exceptional live entertainment and a range of bags with special gifts donated by some prominent Australians.

Deborah hopes that the event will raise much needed funds and support education and prevention strategies to help “violence-proof” our community. She is also taking part in Australia’s CEO Challenge for domestic and workplace violence prevention, so the combined raised funds will be put towards this excellent cause.
